The Brassy Broadcast Returns

The Brassy Broadcast is back!

This about the fourth time I’ve recorded the Preview episode of this podcast because as I have grown over the years, the show has evolved.

In this latest iteration, we are exploring ways to bridge that gaping chasm from Launch to Legendary. The Launch – getting started is easy. Developing your practice to reach your goal or transformation is the killer.

The lie we are told is that “You can do anything. You just have to believe in yourself and get started.” And here..if you just buy this thing that I’m selling…you will have this magical transformation.

I have too many wasted gym memberships and unfinished courses to know that isn’t how it works in real life…at least not for me.

Getting started is easy. I’ve already achieved Legendary status with VISA when it came to whipping out a credit card to buy a new program or product that was going to solve all of my problems and make a better version of me.

It wasn’t the first day of the jiu-Jitsu class that was hard for me. It was the second day. I had to walk back into that school knowing that I looked absolutely ridiculous trying to scoot my body across the floor during warmups. I was out of shape, and I was 47 years old. Who in their right mind starts Jiu-Jitsu at 47? If you want to hear how challenging this was, check out my Awkward Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Journal episodes.

It wasn’t making the first podcast episode that was hard. It was the ones that came later when I was overwhelmed with client work and life was hectic.

The truth is – you need a plan, a practice, and accountability in any area where your goal is any type of transformation or you want to be the best in your field. Podcasting is a practice. Music is s practice, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a practice. Leadership is a practice.

The big question we are exploring in this iteration of The Brassy Broadcast is “How do we build practices that transform us and help us bridge the gap from Launch to Legendary?”

Let’s bridge this gap together.
