It all started when the nuns…..
introduced me to the world of podcasting. It’s true. I started out editing their podcast. It was a gateway. I fell in love with podcasting. I launched The Brassy Broadcast, and set out on a journey to learn everything I could about the medium. I’m still fascinated with it and excited by the continuous growth I’ve seen year after year.
Hi. I’m Jen Edds. HBIC (Head Broad in Charge) at The Brassy Broadcasting Co.
I believe our voices are our most undervalued, and often most misunderstood super power.
My mission is to help the do-gooders of the world make a profound impact by putting them in the ears, heads, and hearts of new audiences with podcasts and other audio content.
You don’t know what you don’t know about producing a podcast. My role is to help you fill in the blanks, manage the devil in the details, and establish the processes from concept to distribution, that will keep you consistently producing a remarkable show. And if you just want to press record, and need a partner to handle the admin, tech, and distribution stuff, I can manage that, too.
Other hats I’ve worn during podcast launch projects include cheerleader, accountability partner, and the voice of reason. My clients are passionate professionals, coaches, and educators across a variety of industries. They are the makers and do-ers. I feel honored to support them in serving their audiences.
I spent a lifetime being quiet.
I didn’t know the power of my own voice.
I didn’t understand that my voice didn’t have to be the best, the smartest, or the prettiest to be valued. I judged it harshly, and kept it to myself.
After years of prodding from bandmates to start singing harmony, I finally gave in. I discovered that by contributing my voice, we could take our performance and our audience to new heights.
Then I found the courage to start writing songs, and singing those songs out in public. I discovered that my songs and my voice actually resonated with people.
The common threads through my life as a musician, a student of the creative universe, and the founder of The Brassy Broadcasting Company, have been curiosity and a desire to help people share their voices and stories.
Today, I gratefully own that my voice and my curiosity are my superpowers. My voice is gritty, compassionate, sassy, and mine.
You already have the voice and power within you to reach new audiences. Maybe you just need a little help accessing it, a little confidence to boost it, and technical guidance in getting it out to a bigger world.
Is your voice your super power?
What’s stopping you from finding out?
Let me know how I can help you get in the ears, heads, and hearts of your audience.
